Well, 31 years later, I put my daughter in the same dress I wore on my 1st birthday. I wanted to post these with photos of me in the dress as well, but we couldn't track any down right now. If they ever pop up, I'll be sure to add them. For now, here's who most important:

Scarlet looks so cute in your 1st birthday dress. I promise that I will find pictures of mama in that dress so you'll be able to see them some day. Your great-grandpa would have been so thrilled if he could have seen you in it.
