Offically Potty Training

Addison started potty training - officially - about 2 weeks ago.

He's doing great! Over the past week, he's had no accidents at school and is coming home in the same shorts and underwear. We're still working on learning how to say he needs to go and then making it in time, but we've made huge strides in helping his bladder hold for about an hour or even longer at a time.

Here are (non-graphic) photos from his first potty poop! I am going to give the story as well, because I don't want to forget when he's old enough to hear the story:

He was supposed to be napping but wasn't (big surprise) and playing in our bathroom, with the potty nearby. He kept going into the closet and shutting the door. Each time, I would remind him and say, no poops in the closet. A few seconds later, he'd open the door, look at the potty and close it again. Finally, he came out and I said, "Wanna poop?" He said yes, sat and did his business. Like most things with toddlers, it was very cute and very gross, all at once.
