In October, I took the boys for the weekend to South Florida to visit Grandma and Grandpa, as well as Uncle Mike and Auntie Jenni, who were visiting from NY. We celebrated Grandma's birthday and had a fun-packed weekend.
We spend the day at a children museum, had some great dinners and even went to Monkey Joe's as well as a famous ice cream shop in Ft. Lauderdale. Everett bonded with Jenni so closely that he literally wouldn't let her out of his sight.
Here are some highlights ...
We took a walk along the beach. No one was interested in the water - or even the sand - but they liked watching the police cars go by. We also stopped to play on a playground.
Addy plays doctor at the children's museum and checks out Uncle Mike. They also went "fishing," did some coloring and played music, went into the bank and got to drive a firetruck and slide down a pole.
The highlight of the museum was a real Publix where they could shop, add items to the carts and then checkout. Here, Addy is the cashier and Everett is getting his groceries.
Auntie Jenni helps weigh some veggies with Everett.
This is on the way home. Everett had a complete meltdown getting on the plane at first, as the noise and gangway scared him. But once he was on, he was great. On the way home, he fell asleep before we took off and woke up right before we landed.
