Well, we never thought Scarlet would be first, but you can never plan for these things....about 2 weeks ago, Scarlet was riding a neighbor's scooter and fell off. It was one of those cries where you know it's something serious. Within minutes, her arm swelled and not wanting to take a chance, we brought her to the emergency room. Turns out, she broke her right arm - a clean break that didn't require a reset - thank God!
Around 1 a.m., we arrived home with a soft cast and a few days later, she picked a purple hard cast that she'll wear until Jan. 14.
Scarlet was a big trooper. She cried for the first 20 minutes, but was very good during the 3-hour hospital wait. She fell asleep on the way home and stayed on Advil for about 2 days before coming off of it entirely. Now, she barely notices the cast at all. Here she is in the soft cast:
