Pre-K Graduation

There's a mama's pride with these photos - "graduation" from Pre-K for Addison and Everett on May 10, 2013.

When they were born, big-kid school wasn't something we thought about. In fact, it felt like it would never, ever arrive. And that was perfectly fine. :)

But soon enough, it did. The first day, we walked them into the room, showed them the cubby and helped them put everything away. By the end of the week, all parents were given the note that beginning Monday, you had to say goodbye at the door. It was a slow transition for everyone.

Over the course of the year, the boys not only learned to store their own things in cubbies, but they learned how to write and how to read. Addison is no longer scribbling his pictures, but drawing them. Everett is a good friend to his teacher, always offering to help his classmates when they need it. They've grown leaps and bounds this past school year and it's been amazing to watch.

We feel very lucky to have been paired with an amazing teacher and teacher's assistant. If all goes as planned, Scarlet will have the same teachers in August, as the boys move into (gulp) elementary school.

Good job, my boys!
