Before I file away the first "report cards" for the boys, I wanted to make a note so it's easy to find.
In Kindergarten, you don't get grades, so much as you get a "grading scale" So, instead of A, B or Cs, you get Excellent, Satisfactory, Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory.
And along with reading, writing and math, you'll also scored on Science, Social Studies, Health, Art, Music, PE, Conduct and Approaches to Learning.
Everett received Excellent in each of his categories, which is awesome. He has always shown high potential for school and it's really starting to show. We're proud that he is reaching his potential in school. He has recently discovered that you can combine intelligence with competition (Jeopardy, spelling bees, etc) and has written a note to the principal of his school asking to host a spelling bee, as they currently do not have one.
Addison received 5 Excellent, 3 Satisfactory and 3 Needs Improvement. He's excels in Science, Social Studies, Health and Music, but is working hard where he needs to - in Math, Reading and Writing. He's also showing great effort in conduct and approaches to learning, where he got Satisfactory grades on both. We're proud of his continued progress and think he's going to really excel in January. (He too wants a spelling bee, but offered a to color a picture of a Thanksgiving turkey, rather than write a note.)
:)
Way to go, boys!
