Ugh - Lice!

It's can't all be fun and games, right? In early, we discovered Scarlet (and subsequently the boys) had lice! Unfortunately for Scarlet, it took us a while to figure it out and while we were treating what we thought was a dry scalp or a rash, she kept scratching and being bothered by lice.

After a second trip to the doctor (the pediatrician missed it, but a dermatologist saw it right away) we began the long haul of washing everything and anything of hers that she wore or put her head on, as well as treating properly for lice.

It was a relief to see her feeling better immediately after the treatment and removal of these disgusting bugs and I would recommend that a lice comb be standard issue to every parent who has a child in a common school setting. We changed shampoo over to a lice-resisitant and also do a lice check once a week.
On vacation, before we realized what the problem was. Poor girl!

Waiting to wash my hair. Censored because creeps on the Internet are gross.

What a nightmare this became. Thank goodness with a lot of perseverance you were able to get it under control.
