Summer 2014: A Season in Review

Summer 2014 was our first "real" summer after starting elementary school. For the first time, our time off really felt special, mostly because we finished a whole year of school - and had another to start in just 10 or 11 short weeks. Soon enough, we'll forget all of the details, so here's some of the highlights to remember, in no certain order:

-   Everett discovered he loves Jamaican beef patties and Kani steakhouse, as well as baseball.
-  All 3 made it through (and enjoyed!) a fireworks show and July 4 fireworks at the house!
-  Addison lost his first tooth - on vacation!
-  Scarlet learned to swim  - really swim!!! So did Addy!!
-  We completed our first-ever softball/baseball lesson in the batting cages.
-  Everett is really starting to like big water slides.
- Everyone enjoyed visiting some of our favorites, like Sky Zone,  bowling, Chuck E. Cheese and Lanier World, and found new ones - like the Gwinnett Braves games and World of Coke.
- Scarlet would swim everyday, if she was able, and would turn into a mermaid, if someone offered it to her.
- We met our friend Amelia for the first time.
- We went to Nashville, Tennessee for the first time ever and Everett had his first-ever milkshake.
- We again practiced driving a golf cart at Grandma's.
- Scarlet met Elsa and Anna.
- We discovered America's Got Talent and now want to be on a talent show.
- Addison improved his ability to read, by reading every sign he sees and learning new traffic signs and their meanings.
- Scarlet tried to stop sucking her thumb ... and she'll keep trying!
- Scarlet turned 5!
- We celebrated Opa's birthday and Father's Day too.
- Addison developed his interest in NASCAR and decided Jeff Gordon is his favorite driver.
- We remembered we love Uncle RJ and Auntie Shannon.
- We toured a fire house and got to sit in 2 fire trucks.
- We found out that Everett can get car sick on long, bumpy trips in a bus.
- We went back and saw one of our first, favorite things in the world - the monorails.
- Addison and Scarlet, in the last weeks of summer, are staying in bed - for the whole night!
- We love every moment we have with cousin Tyler and cousin Anthony.
