Addison: Graduating Speech Therapy

Something amazing happened this month.

Addison, who has attended speech therapy once a week for the last 2.5 years to work on a large number of sounds, including /r/, /s/, /th/, /sh/, /ch/, /l/, /z/ and a handful few others,  GRADUATED from speech therapy!

Spending just 30 minutes each week in speech therapy may not sound like much, but it's a huge committment for a child and has reaped so many rewards for Addison, who often couldn't speak clear enough for others to understand him.

Over time, he mastered all of the sounds, through a number of different techniques. Our lone hold out was /s/ at the conversation level (after mastering the 4 levels that come before it: sound, word, phrase and sentence).

We're so proud of Addison and he's proud of himself!
