The Things They Say ....

This post should probably be all about the move and how we got settled in - and that will come soon - but instead, I wanted to share some of the wonderful things my kids say nowadays ... before I forget and it becomes a distant memory.

Everett: Now that I am a man, I can ________(fill in the blank of things he can't do).
Addison: What do you call it? ... or ... What it's name? (when asking the name of a new object)
Scarlet: I want my mama. (That about sums up life at this point.)

Other items to be remembered: Everett wants to be a monorail driver when he grows up and be Dora for Halloween. He also dips bananas in barbecue sauce ... jhe's dipping everything in it. He also sings a Laurie Berkner song to himself all the time.

Addison wants to be both Lightning and Mater for Halloween and this will officially be the first year that they will dive in those bags of candy with no possible way for me to divert their attention elsewhere. Sometimes, Addison looks over at me and just says, "Mama, I want chocolate." He also likes to pretend to sleep if he knows we're checking on him.

Scarlet is 2 and there's A LOT of moments that should remain a distant memory at this age. But, she also is funny right now and cracks us up. She too loves to sing and give great big hugs to her brothers. She will repeat a sentence you say - "Don't shut the doors" - and wag her finger as she does so. She's beginning to fight bed time and we're hoping if we hold our ground, the phase will pass.
